OVERVIEW
The Continental GT Speed Edition 12 is a celebration of the history of Bentley’s W12 engine – a limited edition car that is likely to become highly collectible, as the era of the W12 engine finally comes to an end.
Bentley’s W12 engine was introduced with the first ever Continental GT, back in 2003. Since then, it has powered many of Bentley’s most performance-focused cars, including several that have set speed records. This car is built on the latest and most advanced version of this incredible engine, but that is only the beginning.
Based on the specification of the Continental GT Speed, it has a range of extra features inspired by the engine’s story, from badges and emblems to treadplate inscriptions and seat embroidery. It also comes with a scale model of the engine, cast from a real W12 engine block and presented in a handcrafted box.
Only 120 of these incredible vehicles will ever be built, making them a rare sight on the roads. They are also likely to become highly collectible.

DESIGN
Every aspect of the car’s design – both inside and outside – has been enhanced to tell the story of its legendary engine.
On the fenders, there are Speed Edition 12 badges. The 22” Speed wheels, meanwhile, have self-levelling Bentley badges at their centres and silver-painted brake callipers behind them. And if you open the doors in the dark, you will see the Edition 12 beams of the Welcome Lamps illuminating the ground at your feet.
Edition 12 treadplates greet you as you step into the cabin, where you will see Edition 12 embroidery on all four seats.
Grand Black veneers can be seen on the interior hard surfaces, along with solid brass organ-stop controls shaped into the number 12. On the fascia, meanwhile, a Speed Edition 12 badge accompanies a sequence of numbers that depicts the firing order of the engine’s cylinders.
The seats feature ombré stitching – a technique that blends three thread colours together – as well as diamond-in-diamond, which can also be seen on the interior door panels.
A final flourish lies under the bonnet: a plaque that reads ‘Edition 12’ and ‘1 of 120’, fixed to the top of the engine.
PERFORMANCE
As a special edition based on the Continental GT Speed, the Continental GT Speed Edition 12 represents the pinnacle of Bentley performance, offering an incredible driving experience.
Its 6.0 litre W12 engine can produce 650 bhp (659 PS) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque – enough to take you from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds).
A suite of chassis systems comes together to harness all this power and ensure you experience the most exhilarating drive possible. Active all-wheel drive means you enjoy the benefits of a rear-wheel drive car most of the time, with the system only switching into all-wheel drive when it detects a loss of traction under one of the wheels. Bentley Dynamic Ride, meanwhile, keeps the car level when cornering, without compromising on the refined ride you expect when cruising in a more relaxed manner. Torque vectoring – delivered via both brake and electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) – helps to hold the car more tightly to the curve of the road, giving you even greater confidence when cornering hard. All-wheel steering, meanwhile, offers benefits at both high and low speeds. When manoeuvring in tight spaces, the rear wheels steer in the opposite direction to the front wheels, drastically reducing the car’s turning circle. On the highway, they steer the same way, allowing you to change lanes smoothly, whilst maintaining effortless progress.
TECHNOLOGY
The Continental GT Speed Edition 12 benefits from the same technology package as the Continental GT Speed.
Apple CarPlay* is installed for integrating with your phone, which you can charge wirelessly or via two USB-C ports. There is a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for constant connectivity, while Internet radio gives you access to thousands of stations, wherever you are.
Driver assistance systems include the City Specification, which makes urban driving easier and safer. It offers Traffic sign recognition**, Park Assist, a Top View Camera, Auto-Dimming Mirrors and Hands-Free Boot Opening. Outside the city, the optional Touring Specification gives you all the tools you need to enjoy the thrill of the open road. They include a Head-Up Display, a Night Vision Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Assist.
For music, the Bentley Signature Audio system is fitted as standard, while the optional Bang & Olufsen for Bentley system features 16 channels. The 20-channel Naim for Bentley, meanwhile, offers the ultimate in-car sound.
You can connect to your car remotely using the My Bentley smartphone app. It enables you to locate your car or check whether the windows are closed and the doors are locked. It can even alert you if your car is moved without your consent.

You can choose from 16 exterior colours as standard, while together, the optional extended range and the Mulliner paint range take your options to more than 80 colours. Inside, you can choose from five different hide colourways that have been curated for the Edition 12 cabins by Bentley’s design team.
